I passed a goal!

It’s official! I finally broke the 180 mark!

For those of you who don’t know, I’m trying to lose weight. I’m not actively dieting or exercising, just eating healthier and being doing more things i.e. taking the kids to the park, walking, cleaning more, walking up and down stairs more etc.

Today I weighed myself and I am down to 178.5 lbs! I have not been able to get past 185 lbs for a few years now. You have no idea how excited I am to reach this goal! I have officially lost 8 lbs!

My next goal will be to reach 165 by my birthday. Christmas Eve. I would like to be 145 by my birthday, but I think 165 is more realistic and wont be a downer if I don’t meet my goal.

What will next week’s weigh in bring? Up or down? Anyone taking bets? lol ;)


Dual-Action Diet Cleanse: Day 18

Today is day 18 of my Dual-action Diet Cleanse.  I haven’t posted as regularly about this cleanse, as I hoped I would have been able to.  I missed like 5 or so days of taking my 2 metabolism pills in the AM, but I’ve been back on track with that for 2 days now.  I’ve have finished my 4 Cleanse pills at night.   I weighed myself again as well. Here are my thoughts:

Day Eight – Sixteen:

Changes: Once I finished taking the Cleanse pills, I stopped having he horrible bathroom moments.  I am glad those pills are OVER.  At some point during these few days, I stopped taking my metabolism pills as well.  I was extremely tired n those days.  Feeling like I could sleep all day and all night and still not get enough sleep (which is how I usually feel).  I don’t know if the metabolism pills are really giving me energy or if it’s a placebo effect.  However, I DO know that I weigh the same as the last weigh in.  183lbs.

Water: I had my required ounces of water when I was taking the pills, but when I stopped I wasn’t drinking enough water.  Maybe this played a part in me being so tired.

Exercise: I did a little yoga, but dropped off the bandwagon with the pills and everything else flew out the window with it.  Hopefully I’ll get back on track with it in the next few days.

Day Seventeen:

Changes: I restarted the metabolism pills today.  I feel as if I have slightly more energy than usual.

Water: I just about filled my quota for water today.

Exercise: I was out all day running errands. No time for traditional exercising, so I exercised my bum and kegal muscles while sitting.

Day Eighteen:

Changes: My energy is OK.  I’m hoping to get to bed tonight before midnight.  I better get there fast if I plan to fulfill that hope.

I weighed myself after eating supper and I went up to 188.  I HOPE that was just the thicker clothes and supper making me rack up those numbers!   Tomorrow WILL be at least 183.   I don’t mind if I don’t go down, I just don’t want to go up!!!

Water: Didn’t drink all my water today, but I got most of it in.  Maybe that’s why my energy was just OK.

Exercise: I washed the kitchen floor.  How is that exercise you ask?  You haven’t seen my kitchen floor.  I kept scrubbing and scrubbing till I thought I was going to pass out from high blood pressure!!  But then I remembered that the floor was old and there was stuff stained into the floor. .  Whew!

So, there you have it! I’ve got 10 days left.. Will I lose another 3 lbs at least?!?!

I will try and re-start my yoga tomorrow. I still have so much cleaning and organizing to do!  Laundry is definately a pile I will have to wade through as well

Dual-Action Diet Cleanse: Day 7

Today is day 7 of my Dual-action Diet Cleanse.  I’ll bring you all up to speed on the past few days.   I’ve been taking my 2 Metabolism pills in the morning and 4 Cleanse pills at night.  I also weighed myself.   Here are my initial thoughts:

Day Five:

Changes: Well, I’m happy to say that I’m not constipated anymore.. though I definitely preferred it to the horrible explosions that I have been having, extremely regularly, all day long.  I’m dreading the 4 pills tonight.

Water: I had about 64 oz. of water today.

Exercise: Not much outside exercise.  I was up and down stairs all day again from the basement to the 2nd floor.  At least I burned SOME calories.

Day Six:

Changes: I’ve been getting to bed SUPER late due to webdesign work, so I can’t tell you how my energy has been.  Cause it’s been no existent.  I was up till 3am. UGH.  My bathroom problems seem to be going away.

Water: I had all my water again for the day.

Exercise: Not much exercising here again.  I really have to get to it!  Yoga tomorrow.. for sure.  I’ll be using this site!

Day Seven:

Changes: My energy is ok.  I still went to bed late..about 1:30am.  I really have to stop these late work nights.  I hate them.  But on a much brighter note, I weighed myself last night and again this morning!  It’s official!

I have lost 3 lbs!

I think that’s a great trend to repeat.  3 lbs a week.  I can be very happy with that.  I know 3 lbs doesn’t sound like a lot, but for someone who’s been stuck at 185 for over a year, 3 lbs is enough!  Maybe more exercising will bring it down even more. Yay Me!

Water: Drank my 64 oz (and more) today.

Exercise: Does THINKING about doing Yoga consist of exercise?  I am sure I will get some in tomorrow because it’s the Sabbath and it will be a nice day.  The hill will probably be my first choice, though we may go out for the day to the botanical gardens to walk around.

So, there you have it!  3 more days of cleansing and metabolizing.   What will the next 21 bring???

I will try and re-start my yoga tomorrow.  I still have so much cleaning and organizing to do!

Dual-Action Diet Cleanse: Day 4

Today is day 4 of my Dual-action Diet Cleanse.  I missed posting for a few days so I’ll get you all up-to-date.  Saturday I took my first 2 diet pills and then took 1 cleanse pill that night.  Here are my initial thoughts:

Day One:

Changes: I didn’t notice any changes that day, but after I took my cleanse pill that night, I had a bad headache.  I can’t tell you if that headache was from that pill or if it was just a coincidence.

Water: I had about 70 oz. of water Saturday.  I was doing good!

Exercise: Other than the usual housework, my exercise consisted of a walk/hike with my Mother-in-law and my girls.  We walked up the  big hill behind my house and then down again.  It got pretty steep in some areas, so we had to walk down sideways.

Day Two:

Changes: Definitely had more energy today.  I also got another headache around the time I took the cleanse pill before bed.  It was followed by some really bad acid reflux.  I get acid reflux a lot, but it’s never this bad.  I was desperate for tums this time.  Thank God I found some!

Water: I had all my water again for the day.  I used to drink a lot of water, but recently I’ve stopped.  That may have to do with some of my issues.  Lack of water.

Exercise: Just a lot of up and down the stairs here at home.  Either because of the girls, or to put away laundry.  Regular house work.  I am hoping to start up my yoga again.  Leena loves it!

Day Three:

Changes: I had less energy today.  I also didn’t go to bed till after midnight, so that may have played a role.. No weight loss yet.  I haven’t measured myself either.

When I took my cleanse pill tonight, it got stuck in my throat.  I ended up getting it down with a piece of toast and some hot tea.  It hurt for a little while.  I felt like I should go to the bathroom and throw up, but there was no gag reflex so it felt weird and made me feel worse.

Water: Drank my 64 oz (and more) today.

Exercise: Again, regular housework.  I walked a lot around at Target too.  I think I walked around for an hour.

Day Four:

Changes: Today I think I’m getting a little constipated.  I haven’t gone for a while.  I don’t think I went yesterday either.  I have been peeing up a storm though!  The headaches haven’t come back, but that heartburn/acid reflux is going to be the death of me.  It hurts so badly when I get it.

I also found out today that I was supposed to be taking 4 cleanse pills, NOT one.  Darn it all.  So I took the 4 tonight.  I hope that doesn’t send me to the ER in search of an enima!!!  If I’m not going now, when I’ve only been taking one for 3 days, imagine how I’m going to feel tomorrow after taking 4!!

Water: I had my fill of water today.

Exercise: I walked around Walmart today returning and replacing some clothes that were too small for Leena.  I also spent all day going through their clothes and putting the ones that fit away and the others in the donate pile.

So, there you have it!  4 days of cleansing and metabolizing.   What will the next 24 bring???

I will try and start my yoga tomorrow.  I still have so much cleaning and organizing to do!

Dual-Action Diet Cleanse: Day 1

Today is day 1 of my Dual-action Diet Cleanse. It’s a 28 day program that combines a 28-day metabolic fat burning pill with a 7-day purifying flush pill. I’m supposed to take them together for the first 7 days. Two diet pills in the morning and one four cleanse pills at night.  Then, when the cleanse pills are gone, I just take the two diet pills in the morning.  The whole process will take 28 days.

Once I’m finished with that, I will start on the other bottle I got.   SlimQuick Hoodia for Women.

My start measurements are:
Waist – 39.5″
Bust – 42.5″
Hips – 39″
Upper Arms – 13″
Neck – 14.5″

Weight:185lbs (est. I just ate, so I’ll weigh myself later)

Energy Level:0

My Current Goal:  To have more energy throughout the day (I’m falling asleep as I write this) and to lose at least 10 lbs.  To feel healthier.

Goal Weight: 135lbs

Spark People

Well, about a few years or so ago I joined a website called Spark People.  I started entering my food for about a week. Then I stopped because I started using BabyFit.com since I was prego.  But last night I came across the site again and noticed that my username and password were saved on this computer!  So I logged in and checked it out.

It was pretty much as I remembered.  I came on today and logged my food so far today. Did 10 min. of the BootCamp cardio and did all my strength excersizes.  I am feeling good about today :)   I’m also feeling super sweaty but a nice hot bath will feel awesome.. like I earned it lol. I know it doesn’t make sense, but it does to me so  :-P

So I’m going to put up my weight loss goal ticker in this post.  I want to lose at least 2 lbs per week so I can go from 180 to 165 by my Class Reunion.  I want to weigh less by then, but they will only allow me 2 lbs per week.  But I’ll be happy with what I can get.

My ultimate goal is to get to 135 lbs.
