Hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. I said I’d list my New Years Resolutions today, so here goes.
1. Post one memory every week.
2. Have a cup of tea every day.
3. Open my blog one friday a month to guest posters.
4. Achieve my goal weight of 135lbs by December 31st 2009
5. Find a husband for my friend Rebeckah (any takers? Please enclose a 8×10 glossy photo with your name, number, and favorite meal in the comment section lol)
6. Drink 8-10oz glasses of water a day.
7. Walk every day
8. Wake up every morning at 5:30am and go to bed at 10:30pm (and adjust as needed once I work out a good schedule)
9. Start doing my twice-a-month cooking.
10. Take one picture everyday so that I can have a year of my life in photos.
So it’s 8:31pm on Dec. 31, 2008. I’m about to go to my friends house to bring in the coming of the New Year. I have 373 posts in my 365 categories category and I’ll be posting all my New Years Resolutions in tomorrows post.
What is everyone else doing for new years? It’s going to be about -3 degrees outside so we wont be going to First Night. We will be spending time with Rebeckah and her family while we warm ourselves and our hearts by the fire. I think that’s a nice way to welcome in the New Year, dont’ you?
It’s snowing outside, so hopefully it wont be tough going. Stay safe, New Years Travelers.

Today is my birthday! It’s hard to believe that next year I’ll be 30. I don’t feel old. Do I look old? I guess it’s true that you are only as old as you feel. I still feel like I have a lot of learning and growing to do, so that must mean that i’m not old yet! lol
Ben was very thoughtful this year. Since Ben was going to be working today, I got to open my present last night. He got me a gold bracelet with sapphires in it. I love sapphires. My engagement ring has a sapphire in it, so it matches nicely. Then when I woke up this morning, Leena climbed into my bed with a birthday card. I opened it and it was a Star Wars Wookie card. My husband is nuts lol. Then I went downstairs to make breakfast and found a beautiful christmas flower arrangment with wonderfully fragrant roses, little gold ball ornaments, 2 guilded pinecones, and 3 different kinds of evergreen sprigs arranged beautifully in a little red wicker sleigh. AWE!
Ben’s parents got me a lovely gold link bracelet. It matches my new bracelet from Ben nicely.
Later that day I peeked in the freezer for something and found… MY ICECREAM CAKE! I love Carvel’s Icecream Cakes. My hunny knows me so well!!
Anyway, I better get to stuffing the stockings! I hope everyone has a wonderful christmas tomorrow!
